PRIVATE LESSONS
I have been a professional touring, recording, and teaching musician for
my entire adult life, starting at age 17. I've played everything from
folk to jazz to blues to rock to hard rock and theatre, at concerts, clubs,
parties, and weddings. I've built guitars, repaired guitars, and repaired
amplifiers. I studied music at Berklee College in Boston and UVM in Vermont
and have studied privately and performed with some of the greats.
I believe a person comes to private lessons first and foremost to learn
how to play the music they love. My approach is to introduce students
to the fundamentals of music theory by learning the music that inspires
them. They will also learn how to learn music by developing their
own ability to transcribe and reproduce music through the use of ear training
and harmonic concepts. Over time we will look at all genres, but you will
absolutely learn how to play the music you love.
About me: I'm a family man with a lovely wife, two sons,
two dogs, and fully functional sense of humor. You will definitely laugh

meet my family. I'm deeply involved in the regional music scene and am
an active performer. Students will have access to my live shows and fully
integrated recording studio.

In-Studio Lessons are done in my home studio in Deerfield Estates, North Berwick, ME. The price for a 30 minute lesson is $30.
Mobile lessons are also available. The lessons are 30 minutes and would be carried out in a suitable common area in your home. All that is needed are a couple of chairs and a reasonable amount of acoustic isolation. Typically this is a dining room or living room. The prices for mobile lessons are as follows:
