Todd Royce Trio

Todd Royce Trio is a blues-rock band with a jazz-influenced improvisational edge and pop sensibility.
The group has performed in restaurants, clubs, town festivals, parties, and weddings up and down the NH and Maine Seacoast area, across New Hampshire, into Vermont, in Boston and other Massachusetts locations, as well as Connecticut.

Bandleader, guitarist, and vocalist, Todd Royce Morton served with the nationally known swing band, "Eight to The Bar" from 1992 to 1996 and has performed and recorded throughout the U.S. with some of the finest musicians in the business, including members of Van Morisson's band, the Saturday Night Live Band, Roomful of Blues, and David Crosby's "CPR."

The band's trademark is their wide ranging repertoire and their ability to build solos into exciting crescendos in the framework of a song. To this point, they have been compared to Cream, Gov't Mule, and Dave Matthews, often taking the jam-band vibe into the territory of bebop & fusion. Their repertoire is comprised of funky jazz instrumentals, cool cover songs, and accessible originals.

The band's original material, written by bandleader, Todd Royce is captured on two CDs which are available online and at every show. The debut CD, "Step into the light" (2002) received rave reviews from major music critics and continues to garner praise from fans (review). The follow-up CD, "Waiting for you" (released August 27, 2005) has also been met with a terrific response from fans and critics alike.

The band is based in the southern Maine seacoast area.
